I'm not sur...Thanks for your comment, Richard.

I'm not sure what gives.

Some argue that people respond negatively because they are afraid. Perhaps, but surely many respond negatively because they genuinely believe God wants them to, as a way to combat evil and promte good.

And others (I believe these are the majority of those who are negantive) respond unthinking, simply following the behavior of most of those who love them.

We who enjoy privilege often do not realize the harm we do to those who don't have it.

Most who don't have white privilege, or male privilege, or straight privilege, don't want to do away with those privileges for others; we just want everyone to share the privilege.

Thanks for your visit.

LouieLouieCrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14397282343672792365noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-559899446967884295.post-411653003145235012010-06-24T17:56:31.674-07:002010-06-24T17:56:31.674-07:00Prof. Crew,
I've been aware of you as a spoke...Prof. Crew,

I've been aware of you as a spokesman on lgbt issues for most of the seven years I've been an Episcopalian. I'm straight and I don't have much use for the discrimination and abuse directed at women, gays, and people of color that is often meeted out by white men although I believe this behavior is found in most cultures and most religions. I'm curious about the sick fixation on sex by many Christians and also amongst the Muslins, what gives?

RichardUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09146916993024824332noreply@blogger.com
